I am a political scientist, currently working as a Heisenberg Fellow at the Research Centre Normative Orders at Goethe Universität Frankfurt and as an Associate Fellow at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt. I am also a Senior Associate Fellow at the Institute for Development and Peace (INEF) at the University of Duisburg-Essen and a Privatdozent at that university’s Faculty of Social Sciences.

My work takes a spatial approach to international relations and political science. I am interested in how technology and politics intersect, in agency in global policy-making, and the governance of the global commons. A particular focus is on the politics of digital spaces and how the state is transforming, and being transformed by digitalization. I am also passionate about teaching and learning in higher education (in German).
